Marci McWilliams, M.S.W., J.D.
Senior Business Consultant
Marci McWilliams conducts workplace investigations, workplace assessments (including climate surveys) and workplace dispute resolution for all areas of business including HR. Ms. McWilliams uses her vast experience as a senior-level executive and a counselor to analyze the complex practical issues that stem from workplace disputes and related employee and business problems. Her professional background includes leading business startups and turnarounds and managing through adversity at nationwide companies. Ms. McWilliams is adept at bridging gaps between management and employees with creative solutions that help clients lead during crises; improve employee relations, communication, efficiency, and productivity; and implement strategies successful at resolving workplace disputes. Her work brings immediate impact and lasting value to clients.

Ms. McWilliams brings 25 years of unique and extensive experience in management, profit and loss oversight, coaching, leadership development, strategic planning, and HR and legal compliance to Puente and its clients. A graduate of San Diego State University and a summa cum laude graduate of California Western School of Law, Ms. McWilliams holds a private investigator’s license in the State of California. She previously served as a Senior Employee Relations Consultant (and Head of Investigations and Dispute Resolutions) for Washington Mutual Bank, where in addition to assisting and helping other Employee Relations Consultants with investigations, workplace assessments and conflict resolutions nationwide, she also conducted investigations into high-risk, sensitive, and complex HR claims, counseled executive, senior and middle management regarding employee issues, their departments and coached managers to improve workplace relations and business results—always with the goal of reaching fair and objective solutions.

A recent member of the Center Stars, benefiting the Orange County Performing Arts Center, Ms. McWilliams has also been extensively involved in community service work including counseling children, teens and women in domestic violence shelters.
